Monthly Meetings
Featuring informative speakers and topics relating to all aspects of parenting preschoolers.
Playgroups
An opportunity for children to learn how to socialize with their peers and for members to make new friends and share parenting tips.
Children’s Parties
Monthly get-togethers for our kids, with seasonal themes, crafts and, sometimes, live entertainment. This year’s parties will include a Browns-themed tailgate party, several winter-month “Bounce Off the Walls” parties, a “pajama” party, an “Under the Sea” party, and a “Barnyard Bash.”
Tours
Of Greater Cleveland’s best spots for children and families. Museums, farms, parks, fire stations, amusement parks, and stables have been just a handful of the spots we’ve recently toured.
Family Outings
Discount rates on special events such as Musical Rainbows at Severance Hall, Playhouse Square’s Children’s Discovery Theatre Series, Hear & Touch the Music at the Beck Center, and many others.
Baby and Toddler
Outings and programs geared to the needs of children from birth to age three.
Parent Education Workshops
Participate in workshops presented by local experts on topics addressing a wide range of parenting challenges.
Adult Socials
Enjoy a much-needed night out to relax, unwind and just have a little adult conversation. Groups meet informally throughout the year by neighborhood, and, several times a year, the whole LECPTA gang is invited to get together for a fun night out.
Helping Hands
Offers a home-cooked meal for members who are new parents and members facing times of need.
Book Club
Get together once a month with other parents for a cup of joe and a great book discussion.
Meet the Trucks
Our year-end party and community festival at Lakewood Park. Kids can climb in, touch and even “beep the horns” of the whole fleet of city vehicles, including fire trucks, garbage trucks and police vehicles. Other activities at this annual extravaganza include crafts, a bounce house, dancing, games, face painting, safety presentations, and much more!
Community Service
An opportunity to volunteer to help make our community a better place. We sponsor events and programs such as vision screening at area preschools, the “Brake for Kids” speed awareness campaign, and Adopt-A-Spot.
