The LECPTA is a non-profit organization that is part of the local, state and national PTA. Membership is open to anyone in Lakewood or surrounding communities with an interest in programs for children from birth through age six. We welcome parents, guardians, grandparents, educators, caregivers and expectant parents. We are not affiliated with any one school; instead, we strive to promote the welfare of children and family community-wide.

• To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
• To raise the standards of home life.
• To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
• To bring into close relation the home and the school that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
